Outreach
The Outreach Committee provides many opportunities for parishioners to reach out to the local and worldwide community. Sponsored activities include serving meals at Dismas House, providing Thanksgiving gift baskets to those in need, Angel Tree gifts, and fundraising with proceeds going to organizations such as Episcopal Relief and Development, Food for the Poor, and Genesis House. Each year, various parishioners from St. Michael's join with others in the Diocese of Tennessee to conduct a week-long medical clinic in Ecuador.
St. Michael's also serves the Cookeville area by providing meeting space for numerous organizations, including Cub, Boy, and Girl Scouts, Alcoholics Anonymous, Serenity (Narc Anon), and other community groups. Boy Scout Troop 156 has been sponsored by our parish for over 25 years.
