Welcome!
Welcome to St. Michael's Episcopal Church, a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Tennessee! We invite you to join us in worship, fellowship, and ministry as we proclaim the Gospel and show God's love to all people.
The Season after Epiphany (Jan 7 - Feb 21)
Every year on January 6 - twelve days after Christmas - we observe the feast of the Epiphany. In this celebration, we give thanks for Jesus, the "light" of God among us, moving out into the world to fulfill his mission. The season after Epiphany is sometimes called ordinary time and uses the color of green to symbolize a growing understanding of Jesus' mission. During this time, our Sunday readings will focus on Jesus' mission and ministry to the world, beginning with his Baptism and ending with his Transfiguration.
Men of St. Michael's
Part II in a series about ministry opportunities at St. Michael's...
The Men of St. Michael's group exists to promote fellowship among the men of the parish. In the course of events, our organization also donates to various parish ministries and community groups, such as schools and rehabilitation centers.
Activities planned this year include a Mother's Day breakfast and the St. Michael's annual parish picnic, both in May, a Ladies Appreciation Fish Fry in June, and the Cameron Hess Golf Scramble in August. In September, our annual fundraiser and a canoe/kayak trip on the Caney Fork River are scheduled.
The Men of St. Michael's extend an invitation to all men in the parish to join us. Our meetings are at 7 pm on the first Thursday of each month. We generally meet at a member's home or in the parish hall. Please contact Rick Wilt for further information.
