Daughters of the King
The Order of the Daughters of the King is a lay order for women in the Episcopal Church. Members pledge themselves to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism. The St. Michael's chapter of the Daughters of the King meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in the parish library from 6:30-8:00pm. There are also quarterly business meetings.
The St. Michael's Daughters of the King maintain the prayer garden located adjacent to the northwest corner of the church parking lot. All parishioners are invited to make use of the garden for prayer, meditation, and contemplation.
Because it is a life-time commitment, those who feel called to this ministry are required to attend an eight-session training course before being enrolled in the order. Interested women are always welcome, however, to attend the monthly meeting to get a better feel for what membership entails.
